Why can't I unsubscribe from Audible? ›

You generally cannot cancel your Audible subscription in the app. You'll need to go to the Audible website to do it (which you can do on your phone or computer – you'll just need to be in a browser, rather than the app). Virtually always, Audible will offer you some sort of deal to keep from canceling.

The short answer is no; an Audible membership is not free with Amazon Prime. However, Prime members do get some special benefits. As a Prime member, you are eligible for a pair of free audiobooks when you start an Audible Premium Plus trial, even if you've been a user of the Audible free trial before.

If you cancel your Audible account before finishing your free trial, you will not be charged for the subscription. However, you will lose access to any audiobooks or content you have downloaded during the trial period.

They're yours to keep and continue to be available in your Library whether you're a current member or not. You can download titles you've purchased as much as you want, even if you cancel your membership.

You won't lose your credits if you pause your Audible plan. This move stops payments for three months so that you can hold onto unused credits. However, keep in mind that you won't receive monthly credits during the hold if you're on a credit-earning plan.

To return a book, you need to be an active member with a Premium Plus subscription. The book must have been purchased with a credit, and you have up to one year from the purchase date to return it. However, Audible may limit or revoke return privileges if they feel the option is being overused.
